.hack//Wiki

Okay, so. I was looking through .hack//The World vol.3, which I just got today, and I came across a short .hack tabletop RPG. My point is this: until now there has been no "official" translation for the name of this class, but in this game, there is one here. Thoughts? --Rintaun 07:57, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

If there's a .hack tabletop game, I want in on it. <33 As for the translation, that's quite a discovery, and it might be the right translation. I can't verify its validity though. I'l leave that up to Kula/Kuu. ~ Ichida
XD yea, there is. It's like... 5 or 6 pages long maybe? But it'd be a bitch to translate, even so. Being only 5-6 pages, though, it's obviously going to be pretty basic in any case. --Rintaun 09:01, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
This is new information for us... so I'd say translating it should be one of our top priorities. The class was never given an English name, so the official romanji is the next best thing. Besides, Knucklemaster fits in with Blademaster, Wavemaster, etc. much better than Melee Fighter does. --CRtwenty 14:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
T_T.... do we have to translate the entire thing? T_T Can't I just post the pages and have someone that can actually read Japanese do it? :X --Rintaun 15:16, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Ask Kuukai if he wants to do it, he's kind of our unofficial translator. --CRtwenty 16:00, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I forgot I had this. That game was created by Adventure Planning Service, but even though they're a third party, the fact that they were hired to make it and it isn't fanmade is at least a little reassuring. The skills listed have both kanji and English readings given: 拳舞 - Fist Opera, 空手斬 - Karate Chop, 黒気 - Black Aura, and 医龍 - Medical Dragon. It lists things "Dance" for Twin Blade though, which isn't a real skill... At worst changing the name will just make it sound better, if it doesn't make it more accurate. - Kuukai2 20:37, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
So, are we changing it or not? Oh and the "Dance" skill for Twin Blades could just be a general term for the Saber Dance skill set. Kulaguy 06:37, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Does it also have any information on the other two classes we don't have? I am also curious about this tabletop game. Is it only published in The World magazine or is it a standalone game. MirageAtoli 04:16, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I think it's only available in The World. Other two classes? Werewolves are the only ones of the three we've actually seen. They're not in the game, but we know a lot about then anyway. Archers are pretty much just a SIGN mistake or something, they don't even have a Japanese name... I just checked, and the ones in Entanglement aren't even in the script... - Kuukai2 21:38, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
