:::::Hmm well while it is true that Carl does appear as Curl within Analysis (though Analysis is pretty shaky sometimes) and the name is an english translation for the snack product, it can also just as easily be said that the name Karl which is an official hapanese transliteration of the snack product overseas is probably closer to what the individual herself would've imagined when creating her character, as it matches her culture of origin. Also not just from that position either, but phonetically as well. This ironically makes the name Carl just as good as Curl if not better.  And which is why I suspect it keeps returning as a form of translation for the name as well not to mention the era the authors creator the character within. As while even the wiki had it as Curl back then the name Carl/Karl took presidence

Now we talked about the the Desktop BMG and Terminal Disk. But did you know it also extends to  Archives 05 and other media beyond that. So much so that at this point name Karl & Carl are nigh inseparable from the character itself. Thus as a result harder for me to argue for Curl against two decades of a certain interpretation of the character versus inviting confusion. This is also while the name Carl itself is sometimes used by people to describe the product as well. As such... 'll meet you halfway. And if more stuff comes out give it a rethink [[User:Treasure-Hacker|Treasure Hacker]] 19:33, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Gord's Sidekick

Was the tall blonde guy that gave Gord info ever given a name? --CRtwenty 22:06, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Nasubi, I think. - Some Guy 22:11, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Fan

I hope gord becomes a party option in the later games. Would be nice.

Class

Do you think we could safely write Gord down as a Grappler? It seems to be the best example for what he was. --CRtwenty 20:18, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I's say so. - Kuukai2 04:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
http://www.hack.channel.or.jp/roots/chara.html the official roots site verifies his class as "Grappler" so it's official now. --CRtwenty 18:09, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Yay! I was worried we'd have to wait for the script to come out that far or something (though it's still nice to know that we'll probably have official confirmation of everyone's class eventually). The icing on the cake is the official spelling for his name, though, otherwise we might not have had one until Roots came out here... Interesting how we're suddenly able to complete G.U. articles... (D'oh, missed the fact that they recently did release a script that gave his class... ^^; ) - Kuukai2 19:16, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Dub

I just watched all of the English version of the Terminal Disc, and Gord is mentioned as "Godo". Should we take this as his dub name or wait for the actual show to air? - Biccy

Godo? Which entry was that? Kulaguy 23:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
11. The one about Ovan. Jun mentions the Twilight Brigade as "Sakisaka, B set, Godo, and Shino". Something like that.
These are the same people who named "Rena", "Lena", wait until we get the actual Dub of Roots. --CRtwenty 06:18, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Roots has his name written as "Gord," and since Roots holds more weight than the Terminal Disc when it comes to him, I'd say we keep it as Gord, and add "Godo" as a redirect and mistranslation footnote (assuming he really is referred to as "Godo.")--OtakuD50 19:36, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
I already did that, and yeah, he was called "Godo". I played it a few times to make sure.
He's shown up in the dub already? What "written" are you referring to? - Kuukai2 22:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Hope you don't mind my moving your message, wanted to make it more coherent. Anyway, episode 2 (Gord's first appearance) aired this morning and his name was written in the credits. - Biccy 22:37, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
It may be worth mentioning that the race course rankings from the games list someone by the name of "Godo."
Which volume, If I add it I kinda wanna have a point of reference. Anyone else is welcome to though Treasure Hacker 22:59, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
I noticed it in Vol. 2 (I'm currently replaying the G.U. series,) he might also be listed in Vol. 3's race courses as well, but I can't say for certain as I haven't gotten there yet. I noticed that the trivia for his page mentioned that he was referred to by this name in the Terminal Disc so it's probably safe to assume that it's meant to be the same character from Roots. Speaking of which, I figure I should mention that although the Desktop BGM and Terminal Disc refer to the protagonist of .hack//Zero as "Carl," it should actually be "Curl" as her name is taken from a real-life Japanese snack brand. Apparently it was also romanized as "Curl" in the Analysis info book. - (BLAZING)
