Salu is best used in a themed deck that uses other Knight cards. If the player has a full set of Knights on the field, has a total basic strength of 3. However, it would take four turns minimum to accomplish this feat. Salu 2.0's To Play cost allows the opponent to take cards from the discard pile and hide them, which can be devastating; thus, it is best to play Salu 2.0 if the opponent has a five hidden cards already, or after removing potential threats from the opponent's discard pile (using an effect such as the Kaoru Asaba card).
