Image 30, SIGN Phantoms

The SIGN Phantoms are bits of data of the characters of .hack//SIGN that appear in .hack//Mutation, .hack//Outbreak and .hack//Quarantine.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

.hack//Mutation Flashbacks

During the course of the game the player can visit Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground and view flashbacks of scenes from .hack//SIGN.

The Guardian

Simply visit Delta: Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground and walk inside the cathedral to witness a scene from Episode 4 of .hack//SIGN. After the flashback, you receive the items "M:Wavemaster" and "Golden Grunty" (The latter being an item that Tsukasa and company receive at one point in the series after completing an event).

Member Address, Please?

After completing Lambda: Nameless Seeker's Prairie, once again visit Delta: Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Here you will get to see a scene from Episode 2 of .hack//SIGN, where Sora "requests" BT's member address. After the scene you will receive "M:Twin Blade" and a "Silver Grunty".

Maybe He, Too, Is a Victim...

After you receive the keyword to Lambda: Dying Madness Haunted Land, head on over to everyone's favorite hangout Delta: Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. You get to see a scene where Subaru and Ginkan(Silver Knight) talk to Tsukasa's comrades about what to do with the rogue Wavemaster. After this, the player receives "M:Heavy Axeman" and a "Golden Grunty".

Crim vs. Sora

After visiting Lambda: Scattering Fossil's Milestone, return to Delta: Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Here you get to watch the battle between Crim and Sora. Afterwards, you will claim "M:Long Arm" and a "Silver Grunty".

.hack//Outbreak Phantom Locations

From the start of the game the player can find ghostly figures of characters from .hack//SIGN. Each character will give the player an item and a quote from the series.

Every Phantom must be found in order, and if sequent phantoms appear on the same server the player will need to exit the server then re-enter. After all phantoms of a character are found, that character will appear in Image 50.
