Kyat (".hack//Chat") page...Edit

I happened to be here to look over infos on general .hack stuff and am suprised that the page on Kyat (as our community generally call it) was locked while containing such limited information. Kyat has a very in-depth history spanning over several years from the "Rena's Room" beta visual chat through 4/30/08 after Va-Sa-Ra abandoned all official .hack-related chat projects, and its users divided between fanmade MetaGate For Personal chats and a new visual chat software created by a few older users that has the same PNG/MNG avatar and control system and is being expanded into an RPG...

In short, interest in the chats is now mainly limited to a specific group of users who all generally know one another and stay in touch via those fan chats, forums, and other online communities based around our own personal ".hack chapter" that we've formed on the chats, down to everyone having created our own original character avatars over time. As such, our community would likely be of little more interest to general .hack fans than would any other .hack fansite with a tight knit community. We're always accepting of new users and willing to share information about our chats, but if admins/mods/users here view our "world" as such an irrelevant concept as to forbid Kyat users from expanding upon the article (and speaking as a long time user myself), I feel that it should be removed from this site. Doot Doot 09:02, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, as a rule the wiki doesn't cover fan works. We've covered "Chat" as an official release and that's as far as we can go. If we break this rule, we'd have to comment on any part of the fan community bigger than 30 people (any popular fanfic for instance) and that's just ridiculous... - Kuukai2 00:03, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

AdminEdit

I've upgraded you to admin because I believe you've contributed enough to the wiki to warrant it. Add to the fact CR hasn't shown up here or in HoL since March, and I'm gonna be leaving for a month this weekend. So take care of the place while I'm gone. Kulaguy 06:56, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. - Kuukai2 07:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Nitpicks about your pageEdit

The RA plan and Jyotaro Amagi pics are crops, not direct screenshots. Oh, and what about those wave symbols? Did you make those yourself? Kulaguy 21:51, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to know if something isn't even just a slight crop, that's why I put them here for comparison to the original source rather than just seeing if width/height = 16/9. I scanned those from analysis. - Kuukai2 05:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Ah, okay. Kulaguy 05:44, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

BooksEdit

Which infobooks do you have access to? Kulaguy 21:51, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

All of the first-party ones: analysis and Perfect Guidebook. I also have Encyclopedia .hack, and random other stuff like a behind-the-scenes pamphlet I got from visiting CC2... - Kuukai2 05:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
How's about GU Character Fanbook? There's a bunch of info on there that I don't think made it to the Wiki, like the real life jobs of the players, if I interpret the box right. Not sure if it's already in the Perfect Guidebook, though. Kulaguy 05:44, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Oops, forgot about that one. Nope, never got it... "The box"? Like who's job? I think all the identities I know we know are on the wiki, with maybe the exception of maybe some PKs or something... - Kuukai2 06:09, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Well this pic of Pirokio for example. Kulaguy 06:56, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, I'll look into whether or not there's a Japanese wiki that mirrors this info. The character fanbook seems to have more of a Roots focus, while the Perfect Guidebook focuses on the games and doesn't really overlap with Roots. Unfortunately, my favorite Japanese wiki has the same bias... - Kuukai2 07:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the GU Games section is very scarce, and barely any of the real world info is given. The Roots section takes up about 1/4 to 1/3 of the book. There might be things in them not mentioned in the Perfect Guidebook. If you need scans of the Roots section, just ask. Kulaguy 07:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

What the hell?Edit

Why are you removing the VA lists on the anime pages? Kulaguy 05:31, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

They're VA lists, not character lists? I took "cast" to mean "-of characters," and I was moving to categories to try to weed out some redundancy. I guess, looking at it again, that I should have realized that for the Liminality one, but the SIGN one doesn't tell you anything you can't find out from the character pages. In fact, it tells you less... Sorry, go ahead and add them back in if they're really important. We should probably add staff lists if we have VA lists, though... - Kuukai2 06:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
If we removed something on the basis it can be found on some other page, there'd barely be any info on here. The VA lists provide an easy list of the VAs without having to click on every single character page. If you wanna make a staff list, go ahead. That'd be interesting. Kulaguy 14:33, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that would probably be pretty useful for filling in those offline sections... - Kuukai2 07:31, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

AnalysisEdit

049

This one?

Exactly which page says that the Phases were made to carry out Morganna's will and not to collect data on human emotions? I need the exact page number so I know which one to upload. Though, to save some time, is it the page to the right? Kulaguy 05:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Heh...I know why you're asking and where you got that scan from <_< --Rpg 05:45, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Page 41, actually, in the "morgana" box:
Morganna was the system of The World, a presence with a feminine personality. Harald used as the womb for the birth of the "Ultimate AI" Aura. However, Morganna concluded that her existence would lose all value once the child was born, and planned to prevent her birth. She formed the eight phase monsters and had them chase Aura to try and capture her.
The Skeith section below that reiterates this. "One of the eight phase monsters Morganna created to hunt down Aura was..." So, what is this for? - Kuukai2 06:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
To prove a point to me, I think. I asked about an official word (or document) that disproved the Liminality easter eggs 100% on the Altimit boards. I'm still not 100% convinced, since there's other ways around it, but that's really something I'd have to take up with the translators and coders themselves, I think. - BetaCygni 04:37, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, the above user still believes in the idiotic easter eggs just because your translation said "eight phase monsters". Kulaguy 23:10, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
More like "isn't convinced that the creation of the 8 phase monsters invalidates everything." But please, can we not start that here? - BetaCygni 00:18, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Afraid you'll be proven wrong? You brought it here when you made a comment. Oh, and there are tons of things that invalidate the Easter Eggs, not just Analysis, yet you still refuse to accept that it's false. Kulaguy 00:22, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
I meant more like, "let's not bicker in a user profile"? - BetaCygni 18:10, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
It's a talk page, it's for bickering. - Kuukai2 18:13, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

How do you know Analysis is canon? What if the easter eggs are telling the truth? Skeith is called the terror of death why? analysis answers that? The easter eggs answers that so what if its the reverse? Kite X

We know Analysis is canon because IT IS AN OFFICIAL INFOBOOK. OFFICIAL INFOBOOKS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER THEORIES BY PEOPLE NOT ACTUALLY INVOLVED WITH THE CREATION OF THE GAME. EmiHinata 00:59, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the easer eggs were never released in Japan or confirmed to have the blessing of the creators, and they directly conflict with things that do. Some of them are true, but as at least one of them is false (Cubia was not created by Morganna), they are not a safe source for new information, and hence "not canon". - Kuukai2 01:29, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Your monster infoEdit

Hey kuukai do you still happen to have the stats and pics for the world R2 monsters? Do you have the monsters from vol. 2 and 3 as well? If you don't have the time to update the monsters page, I could take that off your hands if you could send me the scans. If you don't feel like scanning, that's fine too. :( --Gundam Fan 11:46, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

I'll try uploading the scans. I only have the first issue of The World to feature the walkthrough, which I think is issue 5. I'm pretty sure the remaining issues have the rest of the walkthrough, but no idea where to find scans of that... - Kuukai2 17:42, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

K cool, I'll await those scans than. Thanks :D. --Gundam Fan 06:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Here are the pictures (resized) I scanned a while back, and some of the info. It's only one mag's worth, since I only have G.U. The World up to Vol.5. The BradyGames U.S. guides seem to have like all of this info minus item droppage, including the official English names for monster skills. You might want to get that.

VikingsEdit

You took classes on Vikings, you know Japanese, and you're very nice. I think you're my hero. Can I have your MSN? =l Amaethon 21:05, 9 September 2006. (UTC)

Aww, your page is cute. Kuukai, I'm your fanboy. ^_^ Amaethon
If you like Elizabeth, you should watch/read 銀魂. - Kuukai2 18:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Maybe you should put all the inhabitants of net slum on one page. Just a suggestion.--Cojin17 07:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I think they're happy the way they are, let's wait for Tartarga's R:2 appearance... - Kuukai2 07:42, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh yeah by the way what happened to Net Slum?--Cojin17 07:47, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

We don't really know yet - (Wait, I'm not gonna sign my own talk page)

If you need any info just ask on my talk page.--Cojin17 07:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Somehow, I think Kuukai already has all the information he needs. >_> --CRtwenty 21:25, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Hey how do you know they're related?--Kite X 03:31, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Japanese wiki. - Kuukai2 04:29, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Whats's Kuukai mean?--Kite X 00:53, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

空海, Sea of Emptiness, but that doesn't really catch the meaning. It was probably derived from Mukuukai (無空海), which means "an ocean of void nonexistence." This refers to the world that Buddhists hope to enter, beyond our temporal and physical delusions. It's the most famous name attributed to the founder of Shingon Buddhism, and some monks have had -kai appended to their names as a badge of honor. - Kuukai2 02:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

MonsterEdit

Can you make a template for R:1 monsters like you did with the R:2 Monster template? Kulaguy 01:28, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I'd love to, but I don't have a guidebook for the original games like I do for G.U. so I'm not sure what stats they even have. Does anyone have a source like that? - Kuukai2 01:36, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Here.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/589681/25950
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/589682/29157
Kulaguy 01:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I do have the guide book for Rebirth.--Daipenmon 01:38, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

We're not talking about Rebirth. Kulaguy 01:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
There is also additional monster data that should probably be added to this guide (physical/magical tolerance, elemental weakness, etc.), but that isn't included in Ryu Book IV, which is why you don't see it here.
I think our current R:1 template has everything in either of these guides. If it's anything like with G.U., the hardcopy strategy guides should have tables with *complete* monster data, but I'm not sure since I don't have one. If it turns out the other data's never been released, though, there's no point in expanding the template... - Kuukai2 02:08, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Where are you getting the elements from? - Ruthborn 10:16, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
This FAQ. I think I mentioned that earlier, along with the fact that you can also seem to tell from the card backgrounds. - Kuukai2 00:26, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Where shall we list the monsters mentioned in the books and manga?Ruthborn 09:54, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Are they actually new monsters or just mistranslations of existing monsters? Mistranslations would get redirects... - Kuukai2 17:29, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Just assume that they're mistranslations of existing monsters. That's what I'd do for most of the monsters that appear in SIGN and LotT. Though I'd make an exception for Data Bugs and the Skeithlike thing that Morti summons. --CRtwenty 18:07, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Perfect Guide?Edit

Do you know a place where I could get a scan, or transcript of the line from the Perfect Guide where it says Haseo=Sora? It's something that'd be very helpful to me. --CRtwenty 05:04, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Ask Shinsou Wotan for a transcript, I believe it's a statement that Ryou Misaki joined The World and made Sora. - Kuukai2 07:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
It never says it directly. In Haseo's RL info, it says that his R:1 character was a twin blade, and that he was in a coma for six months after getting DDed. In the timeline, Sora's player is named as Ryou Misaki. I don't have the guidebook on hand at the moment, or I'd give exact quotes. --Shinsou Wotan 22:44, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey Kuukai what's "A Box Full Of Dreams"? Who made it? Kite X

A humorous flash video. Some internet man named "Ike。". - Kuukai2 21:46, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I seen it it was pretty funny. Hey since you can translate english are you and Zero gonna translate Returner? Kite X

Actually, I'm subbing it right now. Him and a few other people are translating it for me. ZeroTheBurninator

Thats great!! Oh hey Zero it's me Cojin I was the one asking about the Azure knights. Kite X

New .hack game Edit

Tell me what you know. Someone claims you have some information of interest. --Rpg 18:45, 12 July 2007 (UTC) There is no new .hack game, dude. --AuraTwilight 18:40, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

There may be, but we don't know yet. The PS3 game CC2 is working on is rumored to be a single-volume .hack. Supporting evidence includes the games's genre being listed as "Action RPG", its teaser pic being taken straight from concept art of Haseo, and Yahoo listing CC2 as working on "'Tail Concerto 2' and '.hack'". Also, considering the interview we posted on dothackers, as well as a column Matsuyama did about next-gen hardware, if they do make another .hack it seems very likely that they'd announce it very soon and take advantage of blu-ray. However, even though they claimed in an ad that they would announce their new titles at their independent developers' conference, they didn't, and no one asked about it even at the Q&A, so we know nothing more at this time. Hopefully that will change soon... - Kuukai2 22:24, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I thought someone was full of bullshit, but already found out they were wrong. Thanks for confirming it though. --Rpg 20:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
There was a false alarm when a blogger who went to the conference confirmed a PS3 .hack, but several other attendees have since debunked it. Nothing to yell at anyone about, I myself thought it was most likely true when I first heard it, since it was kinda a weird blog to be lying on... - Kuukai2 20:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

JapaneseEdit

Hey Kuukai you know japanese right? I was just wondering if you could tell me the word for gang in japanese.--Cubia X 04:58, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Kuukai's not the only one, y'know >> "Dan" (Pronounced "Dahn") is the only one that comes to mind for me.--Biccy 20:37, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
"-dan" (団) is just a suffix for an organized group, Paw Pad Squadron even uses it. Being a suffix, it can't be used as a word on its own. Bouryokudan means an organized crime group, though. What specific context are you going for? Japanese has a lot of words for groups and gangs... - Kuukai2 21:53, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I was going for like a gang of friends.--Cubia X 23:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I might suggest just ennumerating it, like "Bokura Gonin" ("Us Five"). Otherwise, I think nakama-tachi is good. Someone correct me if there's a better way that's escaping me. - Kuukai2 08:28, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

You're pretty busy tonight.--Cubia X 07:54, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Randomly decided to see what could be done for the Spanish Wiki, since someone took the time to write a Tri-Edge article. It might not go anywhere, but the links might help. Maybe. If anyone knows Spanish, they need Phase articles pretty badly, and Kite and Blackrose. Also pictures, which anyone can do... - Kuukai2 08:28, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Uh don't know how to speak spanish.--Cubia X 08:51, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

My Spanish isn't good enough to write something like that, unfortunately. --CRtwenty 17:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Regarding CategoriesEdit

Hi, this is User: 64.59.144.85. Regarding the category edits, I understand why I've been banned - it looks like vandalism, so I can see why you and CRtwenty acted as you did. Additionally, I have read the messages on my address's talk page, so I was aware of this problem from the Harald article incident; however, since it was resolved, I didn't think to post a response.

It wasn't intentional for me to mess with the categories - it was honestly an accident and due to lack of knowledge, I didn't know how to fix it when it happened. When this occured with the Harald article, I was able to fix it because of a fluke (I looked at another page and copied what I thought was the right code to fix it), but in the case of the Kite article, I wasn't able to do the same thing. I'm wondering if you know how or why it happens (the weird category thing) and could tell me how to prevent this from happening again, since I never intended to do that in the first place. I apologize for the trouble I've caused. User: 64.59.144.85

(Also, just to let you know, in case the ban is still being applied, this is being posted from a university's proxy. Please don't ban it just because it's associated with me; I don't think it's fair to other users to be hindered because of my mistakes.)

Wow, someone replied to it. o.o The ban was lifted. Angela, one of the Wikia creators, determined it had to do with a script they're attempting to fix so yes. --Biccy 22:42, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Re: MantiBot Edit

Hi Kuukai,

What would you like the bot to do there?

Manticore (talk) 17:19, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Based on the pywikipedia scripts, here's what the bot could do:
  • Fix double redirects (although there is only one at the moment) [redirect.py double]
  • Move pages from one category to another [category.py]
  • Remove links to wanted pages [replace.py]
  • Text replacement (from "teh" to "the" for example) [replace.py]
Unfortunately, it cannot:
  • Do anti-vandalism work
  • Move images
Have a read of those scripts, and let me know if there's something specific you'd like done.
Manticore (talk) 08:35, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
I ran interwiki.py, it didn't work. Unfortunately it seems there are some problems running the bot on the version of MediaWiki Wikia is upgrading too. Sorry. -- Manticore (talk) 14:29, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Prototype Information Edit

Do you still have the pamphlet on the prototype of dot hack? I am curious to see the rest of the information it holds. (On side note I found some information on the japanese wiki for G.U. somthing about the game concept and arena; http://wiki.livedoor.jp/theworldpurasu/d/%c5%f6%bd%e9%a4%ce%a5%b2%a1%bc%a5%e0%a5%b3%a5%f3%a5%bb%a5%d7%a5%c8)

Yes. I have an article translated and ready to go about how they got Sadamoto, but kinda wanted to release it when the new Eva movie comes out here. I did that one since it was interesting, and I haven't really had time to do any more since graduating, but I'll try to do some more soon. Yeah, I'm actually really curious about where that information comes from... - Kuukai2 03:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, that seems like a nice time to release the info. Oh and thanks for the Kazumi upload.

hello is this the world ---Kratos13 20:32, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Big favor? Edit

Hey, this really has nothing to do with the wiki, but I had no other way to contact you. I don't want to take up your time or anything, but I kinda need to ask a huge favor... do you have a better way for me to contact you than here? EmiHinata 17:32, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I sent an email to the account you have registered with Wikia. Let me know if you don't get it. - Kuukai2 06:24, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Panzer Edit

Saika is an armored tank?! Strangely it fits. Do you have scans of Saika's character that we can use for the page? (In addition I remember something about wave symbol combination that you posted. Any info on that? mumbles something about crest for R:2.) Sorry if I'm asking for too much. Outlaw630 22:25, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

She looks pretty much exactly the same in both the real and online worlds. She's not a literal armored tank, it's just her username. --AuraTwilight 22:39, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
The only thing that's the same is her face, like with a lot of .hack characters, it's not like Tokio. I don't think Outlaw was visualizing it literally, he/she just likes the name. She certainly lives up to it, and has a cannon that damages the arena. I'll try to scan a picture. - Kuukai2 23:05, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
You mean Wave Symbols? - Kuukai2 23:05, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank You. Yeah! You know combining symbols for various meanings? There was a post about. Earth + Water = Life, Lake, Ice. Water + Wind + Thunder = Storm. Flames + Wind = Winds of Flame. Flames + Wind = Scorching Winds. Outlaw630 00:19, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh, that, I forgot about that. I'll scan/add it sometime. - Kuukai2 01:37, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Hm, there's a scan on here somewhere. I think you covered most of it. I wanted to know if there was more. I'll put up the information. (http://www.dothackers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12229 Outlaw630 02:30, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I finished a chart for wave combination a few days back. Have you had any luck with the Panzer Image. Outlaw630 12:28, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd like to have a look at that, too. Maggosh 18:45, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Is posting here what you meant? When the original image has been edited manually, the link where the original image came from disappears. How do you find the old link? (That's what I was trying to do when I accidentally reverted it...)

.Hack//4Koma Edit

Not sure if anyone will reply to this, but I've noticed that under manga, there isn't anything for the .Hack//4Koma series. =/ Any reason why?

You'll have to be more specific than that. There's a link to it on the front page. If you mean on the Characters page, it's probably because it contains characters from both the Project and Conglomerate. Hope that's helpful.Maggosh 19:29, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I was using the quick bar under the site logo. It's not mentioned under the manga nor the anime. I was curious. But if it's on the front page, I'm sorry I didn't notice. Ahaha.. Eiko Katserugi

Revision Edit

I was just curious why you reverted my edit on the Wavemaster page? Just wondering. :)--KrossTransmit on Holonet? 22:57, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I was just wondering about Kuhn Artwork. Edit

You have final draft artwork of Kuhn, on Kuhn's page that was scanned from a book, I was just wondering where you got it, or what the book is?

From: Nufonia

Kuukai isn't the uploader. The image is from .hack//G.U. Perfect Guide Book. I got it from a website. Outlaw630 08:06, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Security ControlEdit

Say I was wondering. Since you are one of the administrators here, is it possible to control the security of people editing the pages of dothack//Wiki? 'Cause I have seen too many IP Address people who either did not sign-in or never created an account, thus result some mess all around. Some of them, you know, created some fake info or just messing around with or making spam onto some info pages. This has sort of got to stop as I am little bit disappointed upon that sort of problem once in a while. Roru aurarios 12:54, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

I didn't "miss" it, but I didn't realize they were different from what you were writing in the article. Why did you post wrong elements for them in the actual article if you had already looked up the correct ones? - Kuukai2 00:40, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Thats a relief. I was feeling pretty down. Don't remember. There was a time when I had lost my list. Probably started relying on appearance on the recheck. I don't have the game with me however a while back I found an Faq site. This should help, its the level 99 status of the characters excluding, weapons, armor and bonus. http://www.medias.ne.jp/~kuon/status2.html (http://www.medias.ne.jp/~kuon/.hack.html)

About the wood since it wasn't on the chart I had taken it as the equivalent of wind. Guess I jumped a little far on that one though. Outlaw630 15:47, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Hello Admin Edit

Hi, I'm Sxerks, from the Anime & Manga Hub

I'm asking admins of Anime-related wikis if you would add this link *w:c:animanga|Anime/Manga Hub to the bottom of your SIDEBAR. Its a link to the Anime & Manga Hub on Wikia.

We are currently working on adding basic pages as well as a list of anime wikis on wikia.

The Hub also serves as a place to link to common actors, artists, and anime terms like Rie Kugimiya which you can link to in your articles.

We Also have a monthly Anime/Manga spotlight on our Main Page. Read about it here.

Obviously .hack isn't just anime it's gaming too, but many amine/manga are also gaming related, and we are categorizing them as well.

I've add this to both your and Kulaguy's talk pages.

You'll probably see the same message at the Betterman wiki.

I noticed you said on your user page that you translated, how proficient are you?

fan\\sign 18:53, March 3, 2011 (UTC) Given what "Epitaph of Old Testament" seems to say, I will concede to you that the wiki is accurate. I wish someone had posted that at the end of this discussion page after it was announed, or had deleted the discusssion page and written something (like in the trivia section) declaring the unraveling of this otherwise-ambiguous point. I wouldn't have interfered if this wiki gave people the necessary head's up about things like that. Sorry about the edits.
P.S. I went ahead and deleted the "It's a trap" attachment to the discusssion page (it can still be accessed through the Talk page), and wrote a comment in the trivia section, shortly stating that the Epitaph of Old Testament confirmed Hotaru as a male in the manga, and a female in the anime. If this is beyond my limits as a user, please tell me soon and don't deleted me - I have no idea whether this is a problem for admins or not.

Tabs?Edit

Were you able to come up with a use for the tabs? I still think media separtion would be a good idea but for either case I think the template/code has to be admin applied before users can test. Well that's only for one way to create tabs. Outlaw630 21:58, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking about how we could use it to combine R:1/R:2/R:X pages, but really, have you seen the syntax for this? It would make things a lot trickier to edit, unless there's a better way than the example you showed me. It might still have its place, though, in the items section or somewhere else where tables are the bane of our existence... - Kuukai2 18:29, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

I've seen it before. It does look challeging so I understand. Here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Tabber (Maybe that will be easier to use.)I noticed all the characters placed up today. Here's hoping something works. Outlaw630 23:46, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Xth-FormEdit

Your good with this type of thing. Can you create a small description for Kite's xth form? I'm trying to make a larger paragraph to add details but I've having trouble with the start. Outlaw630 02:52, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

Deleting a redirect Edit

Hey, I've been trying to clean up and standardize the R:2 equipment pages using templates, but I accidentally created a redirect where I want a template to be and now I can't move it to where it needs to go. The page to be deleted is Template:Equipment (R:2). Thanks, Axem Titanium 15:29, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

I deleted it, but I don't think it really needed to be. You can just directly edit the code of a redirect page and turn it into whatever you want... - Kuukai2 18:53, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. It's just my old Wikipedia habits of trying to preserve edit history acting up. :) Axem Titanium 03:25, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

.hack emails deletion Edit

About .hack emails dump takedown.

Hello Kuukai, you are right in taking down the dump I created since it does infringe on copyright laws. As far as I know you can quote two lines from any text (newlines) legally but if a text is copyrighted anything more than that is illegal. That said, this Wiki and many others like it on Wikia are full of illegal content, every page contains images from the original games, anime and manga, which is illegal without the expressed consent of the copyright holder.

So I would ask to roll the page back, and wait for Bandai or CCorp to file a DMCA claim, since that is all you're legally obligated to do.

I believe that Wikia's policies differentiate between fair use excerpts vs. a huge, raw text dump from the game. In any case, the latter just isn't the kind of content we have on the wiki. We don't have full game or episode scripts, either. We do have this page, which provides some important emails in a processed and notable form useful to the reader. - Kuukai2 17:42, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

Help with Haseo wikipedia Edit

Hello. I'm a user from wikipedia that has been trying to work in the .hack articles. In the past days, I started working in an article for Haseo [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tintor2/_draft here], but I could find almost no information regarding his creation. I only heard details like Daisuke Uchiyama saying he used Sasuke Uchiha as a model (apparently in the .hack//link guidebook), but could not find anything online. Since you possess the guidebook, I wondered if you had information regarding the character's design to add to the article alongside the references. WOW , you did great job out there. -Amaso (talk) 12:54, October 1, 2012 (UTC)

Hello! I'm currently on the hunt for something recently, so I thought I should ask you as well. I'm looking for the tabletop RPG ruleset that was published in (I think) issue number 3 of the Japanese magazine .hack//TheWorld. There are mentions of it here and there, and a scanned character sheet on the Talk page of the Knuckle Master entry (http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Knuckle_Master). I was wondering if you owned the magazine or knew where I could find scans of it. Thank you very much in advance!

I encourage buying an actual copy, you can get it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/B-hack-The-World-vol-02-with-Postcard-Guide-Manga-book-/251522560883?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a8fe9b373 (Issue 2 also contains the game I believe, I'm pretty sure only issue 1 doesn't have it.) - Kuukai2 (talk) 17:49, July 8, 2014 (UTC)

Affiliation RequestEdit

Hello! I am the founder of a Hyperdimension Neptunia wiki and would like to request an affiliation with your wiki due to the developer for dot hack franchise's games, CyberConnect2, being a personified character in the Neptunia series and also said character being the mascot for the company itself. I hope this is reason enough for you to accept, and I also hope for a favorable response. Thank you for your time. ~Purple Heart~ (talk) 06:51, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

That sounds fair, we have pages for CC2's other games. - Kuukai2 (talk) 21:25, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Glad to hear it! Here is the Neptunia wiki's wordmark. I'll add your wordmark to the front page of my wiki.

~Purple Heart~ (talk) 22:18, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Is there a cross-wiki way to link the image? We could add a Neptunia page and link to the wiki... - Kuukai2 (talk) 19:57, July 29, 2014 (UTC)

You mean like this? ~Purple Heart~ (talk) 20:17, July 29, 2014 (UTC)

Are third party server that revive a game that had it's original servers taken offline allowed as info on Fragment's page? Edit
