- "This is the mysterious animal known as Lucky Animal that lives in this area. Approach and kick it to recieve various blessings. However, there are also Unlucky Animals that bring bad luck. They have the angry symbol on top of their heads."
- — The World R:2 —
Lucky Animals (ラッキーアニマル) are found on fields and dungeons in The World R:2. Chasing and kicking them results in them granting the player a blessing, which takes many forms depending on the animal. There are also Unlucky Animals, who pursue the player and attempt to cast a curse on him or her if not evaded or kicked. Atoli believes in treating the animals kindly, while Haseo considers it wasteful not to kick them. The NPC Dr. Pao specializes in the study of Lucky Animals, and most of his quests involve hunting them in some way.
