A fairly powerful monster in any lightning-based deck, Gladiator allows the user to bring back any fallen monster for a second chance to attack if it wins its battle. Gladiator can't be stored normally, but its raw power should be enough for it to win fairly early in the game. The drawback is that it's difficult to spot five lightning-element cards early in the game, so in most cases, if the enemy builds up defenses fast enough, there will only be a short amount of time in which Gladiator can be played and still be strong enough to win a battle without any support.
