Tips and Strategies
Gaia Turtle may be incredibly powerful, but it's very difficult to play, requiring 6 other Earth Elemental monsters to be in play. Timing is important when playing it since its Reward effect is maximized when the opponent has a lot of monsters stored in the portal; it's also best if Gaia Turtle is played after effects that destroy the opponent's hidden cards are used. If the Reward is activated when the opponent has a large amount of portal monsters and relatively few hidden cards, the opponent may be forced to sacrifice nearly all portaled monsters.
