Would it be permissable to make articals solely about music in .hack? I mean more than soundtracks but individual songs. There could be youtube links to the songs. Would we need to upload the songs themselves or can we ask someone on youtube for permission to use their vids. I know that there are lyrics scattered all over (even in german), but still nothing dedicated to the wonderful music that lack lyrics. If this place could be seen as a place to come to for both good music and good info, then readership could grow. It could add an extra hook for all those Link players that'll becoming in once the game gets here. Please please please please please!?--Falcon At 02:22, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

We couldn't do full songs, and the soundtracks already have their own pages, there's no need to break it down by song. --Rpg 02:25, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
not all the songs, just iconic ones. Like the final fantasy wikia has for particular songs. This is working under the grand old idea of "be the change you wish to see in the wiki" I'm not the only person in the world that loves both .hack and it's music.--Falcon At 02:36, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
Soundtrack pages are enough. Individual pages for songs are definitely not needed, except maybe for main themes like Yasashii Ryoute, but even that warrants discussion. Linking to youtube videos with the song is a definite no-no. We already tread the line for licenses for images because I don't exactly know about image copyright, but I definitely know that uploading, or at the very least, linking to full songs would be bad from a legal standpoint. The Wiki isn't an unknown thing. We've had people from Tokyopop, like Peter Ahlstrom visit and ask for clarifications on translations or background info. It'd be safe to say that people from Bandai or Namco is also checking in here from time to time. Kulaguy 02:38, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't mind if someone looked into how to implement sound samples in article pages. First thing we should do is test it with the sound samples we do have, then we worry about possible expansion.--OtakuD50 01:00, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
