According to the page set up for that purpose, Hotaru's gender (both in the
"real" world and in "The World) is under dispute. The wiki has a discussion
page for this purpose, but from what I gather it has not been used since
August of last year (except for my recent posts). I would like to start up a
more current discussion on this subject. Another point in .hack which
also relates to gender questionability is the nature of the Tsukasa &
Subaru relationship - was the show intending it to be homosexual,
bisexual, or possibly something else? I have been taking the last
choice ever since I watched the episode "Return", and would like
to know whether the general public and the story-linear evidence
(such as in .hack\\Zero) agrees with me.
